Ayushmann Khurrana’s romantic comedy Ananya Pandey took over as the female lead in Dream Girl 2 in place of Nushrratt Bharuccha. The movie will premiere on Eid 2023, June 29, 2023, according to the official announcement teaser, which was released on Friday.
Ayushmann emphasises the dull period of Bollywood in the video and talks about it with his buddies. The actor goes on to say that on Eid, he will perform a unique “Pooja” for Bollywood. Then Ayushmann calls Pooja and she confirms her return with an ensemble cast of Asrani, Paresh Rawal, Annu Kapoor, and Manjyot Singh. Ananya Panday then shows up and verifies that she is in the movie.
Ayushmann will reprise his role as Pooja in the movie, while Ananya Panday will play his lady love. The primary combo will be joined by a great cast of actors with impeccable comic timing, including Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Vijay Raaz, Manoj Joshi, Rajpal Yadav, Seema Pahwa, Manjyot Singh, and Abhishek Banerjee.
Ananya Panday portrays Pari, the love interest of Karam, who is played by Ayushmann Khurrana. Karam is a lad from a small town who is trying to live a serious life in Mathura. However, life is determined to not take him seriously. Karam’s story is followed in Dream Girl 2. By chance, Karam transforms into Pooja, further complicating his already hectic existence.
According to a statement made by Ayushmann and published by ANI, “I am really enthusiastic about ‘Dream Girl 2! It’s thrilling to work with Raaj once more since I’ve discovered a buddy in him. I’ve been matched with Ananya Panday, and I can’t wait to see how the crowd responds to our chemistry.” Even Ananya said, “I am thrilled to be a part of Dream Girl 2 and working with the dream team of Ayushmann Khurrana, one of Bollywood’s top performers, and the real boss lady herself Ektaa Kapoor. Ayushmann was last seen in Anek, directed by Anubhav Sinha, was a huge commercial failure. The last time Ananya and Vijay Deverakonda were together was in the sports drama Liger. The movie had a terrible box office performance. Satyaprem Ki Katha, starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, will clash with Dream Girl 2.
