Actress Jacqueline Fernandez has been under the scanner for quite some time. Her involvement with the Rs. 200 crores extortion racket involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar has kept her in limelight and especially after her images with him took the internet by storm.

As per the latest reports, Jacqueline has walked out of Nagarjuna’s upcoming movie The Ghost, directed by Praveen Sattaru, for unknown reasons. A source close to the film said, “Jacqueline is no longer a part of the film. While we don’t know the exact reason, there have been talks that her exit can be after she landed up in trouble in an extortion case.” The makers of The Ghost are yet to confirm the development and are reportedly looking for a replacement.

Earlier, Actress Kajal Aggarwal, who is expecting her first child this year, was roped in by the makers of The Ghost. But after she declined the offer, the makers of the film brought Jacqueline Fernandez on board. With Jacqueline’s unexpected exit, the makers are yet again looking for a new face for the film alongside Nagarjuna. The makers of The Ghost were planning to start the film with an abroad schedule but have postponed it due to the pandemic crisis of COVID-19.

The actress had also issued a statement recently saying that she is going through a tough time. Her statement read, “This country and its people have given me tremendous love and respect. This includes my friends from the media, from whom I have learned a lot. I’m currently going through a rough patch but I’m sure that my friends and my fans will see me through. It is with this trust that I would request my media friends to not circulate images of a nature that intrude on my privacy and personal space. You would not do this to your loved ones, am sure you would not do this to me either. Hoping that justice and good sense prevails. Thank you (sic).”

On the professional front, the actress will be next seen in Attack. The film also stars John Abraham, Prakash Raj, Ratna Pathak Shah, and Rakul Preet Singh in key roles. Apart from Attack, the actress has Ram Setu, Bachchan Pandey, and Kick 2 under her kitty.
