The second season of Amazon Prime’s Mirzapur is currently the hot topic for the entertainment lovers and the web series which went online in the last week of October remains as one of the most loved Indian series of the year. While the netizens are still coming up with inventive memes, the majority are requesting the makers to bring back the character of Phoolchand Tripathi, commonly known as Munna in the show.
The makers of the popular web series had pre-planned the exit of its characters in the first two seasons. While Vikrant Massey’s character Bablu was dropped in the first season, the character of Munna was to make the exit in season two. However, unlike the character of Bablu, Munna became a massive hit for his sociopathic act and delusions of immortality and his fans are now demanding a resurrection of his character in the upcoming season.
While the fans are signing petitions to bring the character back, reports suggest that makers are actually considering a change in plans owing to his popularity in the show. One of the leading cast of the series also hinted that Munna might make an entry in Mirzapur 3. “It happens all the time in soaps. Dead characters are brought back to life on popular demand. So why not in Mirzapur?” he said. If Divyenndu turns out to be a part of season 3, it is not certain whether the character be brought back from the dead or the scriptwriter will find a better way to incorporate his story without a resurrection.
