Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is undoubtedly one of the most iconic and loved sit-coms and it has been entertaining all age-groups of the country for over a decade. While every single character of the show is equally loved by the fans, Jetha Lal, played by Dilip Joshi, is given the most importance and his wife Daya Ben, played by Disha Vakani, is loved by one and all.

Disha Vakani, who gained humongous popularity for playing Daya Ben in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, went on a maternity break and it has been years that she hasn’t returned to the longest-running television show. There have been multiple rumours of disagreement between the actress and the makers of the show for a hike in her price. However, neither of the parties has come forward and cleared the air on the same. Meanwhile, fans are eagerly waiting in hope for her return which seems unlikely now.

However, the fans can rejoice as Disha Vakani will be reprising he character of Daya Ben in a special episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah soon. The sit-com is near to complete its runtime of 12 years as well as 3000 episodes and the makers are planning for a grand celebratory episode which might have Disha playing her most loved on-screen character. Raj Anadkat, who plays the son of Jetha Lal and Daya Ben in the show, confirmed that the show will have a grand celebration for achieving another milestone.

In the wake of Coronavirus, major film bodies had halted production activities for both films and television industries in the mid-March. Now that the government has announced relaxation in the imposed lockdown, makers are planning to restart shooting activities with limited crew and precautionary measures in place.
