The movie which was to star Shahid Kapoor in the lead earlier is touted to be high on action sequences and the Indian version of the action franchise on par with Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible. While Sidharth will be headlining the project, the filmmaker announced the release date of the movie along with the co-actors.

Taking to the social media handle to welcome the female co-actors, Karan Johar announced Disha Patani to be a part of the franchise and wrote, “Buckle up your seat belts as the exceptional Disha Patani joins the #Yodha team as one of the female leads!” The filmmaker went on to welcome Raashi Khanna in the project with the caption, “Bringing her spark and innocence is Raashii Khanna, to the #Yodha team.”
