Filmmaker Karan Johar’s ambitious action franchise, Yodha, has been in the news lately after the director shared the first look poster of Sidharth Malhotra in the lead. The movie which was to star Shahid Kapoor in the lead earlier is touted to be high on action sequences and the Indian version of the action franchise on par with Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible. While Sidharth will be headlining the project, the filmmaker announced the release date of the movie along with the co-actors.

Taking to the social media handle to welcome the female co-actors, Karan Johar announced Disha Patani to be a part of the franchise and wrote, “Buckle up your seat belts as the exceptional Disha Patani joins the #Yodha team as one of the female leads!” The filmmaker went on to welcome Raashi Khanna in the project with the caption, “Bringing her spark and innocence is Raashii Khanna, to the #Yodha team.”

Along with the star cast of the highly anticipated movie, Karan Johar also announced the release date of the movie to be 11th November next year. Helmed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha, Yodha went on the floor last month as the principal shooting commenced on November 27.
