In response to the people who criticized farmers’ protest against the new farm laws by saying farmers are eating pizza, Punjabi actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh took to Twitter and extended his concern as to how no one cared when farmers were dying of poison.

The actor shared a picture on his Twitter handle which read, “Farmers consuming poison was never a concern but farmers eating pizza is news!! (sic)” Earlier as well, Diljit was a strong voice in celebrating the farmers’ protest and gained immense appreciation among the leftists and liberal youth for his support to the farmers in the ongoing protest.

According to PTI, pizzas were distributed even among the nearby residents, around 400 pizzas were consumed. It has elicited strong reactions in the general public, some extremely positive although. Farmers faced a lot of criticism over the fact of being able to afford pizzas which raised questions over the integrity of the protest.

Diljit Dosanjh also visited the Delhi border to support the farmers.
