It was earlier informed that Diljit Dosanjh would be reuniting with the Soorma director for a fun movie on male pregnancy with Yami Gautam playing his on-screen love interest. While the movie dealt with a taboo topic, the actor initially gave his nod for the project. However, the latest report suggests that Diljit has developed cold feet and has backed out from Shaad Ali’s directorial.

A source close to the development of the movie informs that Diljit Dosanjh had enjoyed the script narrated by filmmaker Shaad Ali and had given his nod to start the shooting for the movie after returning back to the country. However, the actor reportedly had second thoughts and backed out of the comedy-drama. Diljit was in San Francisco before the nationwide lockdown was announced in India and he had plans to return in September to commence the shooting for Shaad Ali’s tentatively titled movie, Papa Ji Pet Se hai.

However, as per the sources, the actor is not responding to the calls of the director and the producer of the movie and the project has hit a backburner. While neither the actor not the filmmaker has made their side of the story public, it is certain that all is not well between Diljit Dosanjh and Shaad Ali.
