Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif, who is well-known in the Hindi film industry has also acted in a few South Indian films. Bollywood’s most beautiful actress, Katrina Kaif, is among the highest-paid actresses in the industry. She has distinguished herself in the Hindi film industry by demonstrating unwavering passion and dedication to her line of work. She excelled in her performances in such laudable movies as Ek Tha Tiger, Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani, Dhoom 3, and Raajneeti. However, not many people know that this beauty queen also had her own share of challenges. She has interestingly acted in South Indian films as well as Hindi films to hone her acting abilities.

Katrina Kaif’s Journey in Bollywood-

Katrina Kaif’s path to Bollywood has been absolutely magical since she was born in Hong Kong. Being an outsider in the Hindi film industry, she made real steps to ensure that her language delivery in movies was up to par. In addition to taking courses to acquire the regional dialect, which is a combination of Hindi and Sanskrit. In 2003, she made her Bollywood debut in the movie “Boom” directed by Kaizad Gustad. There has been no going back since that time. Partner (2007), Namastey London (2007), and Singh Is King (2008) helped Katrina Kaif solidify her place in the Hindi film industry.

Katrina Kaif as a professional dancer-

She is a gifted dancer as well in addition to being an outstanding actor. Few would dispute that she definitely understands how to ignite the stage with her performances. She performed in songs like Sheila Ki Jawani (Tees Maar Khan), Chikni Chameli (Agneepath), Ishq Dance (Jab Tak Hai Jaan), Malang (Dhoom 3), and Kala Chashma (Baar Baar Dekho).

Katrina Kaif’s Works in South Indian Cinema-

Few people are aware that this Bollywood actress has also appeared in South Indian films in addition to Hindi cinema. She has appeared in the Malayalam film Balram vs. Tharadas as well as the Telugu films Malliswari and Allari Pidugu. These movies were all successful at the box office then.

Malliswari was released in the year 2004.  It was directed by K Vijaya Bhaskar, who co-wrote the script with Trivikram Srinivas. Suresh Productions served as the production company. Actors Venkatesh and Katrina Kaif had prominent parts in the movie, which also served as Kaif’s Telugu cinema debut.

She landed another picture shortly after making her debut in the Telegu film industry in 2004 and was released in 2005.  Produced by MRV Prasad on PBR Art Productions and directed by Jayanth C Paranjee, Allari Pidugu stars actors Nandamuri Balakrishna, Katrina Kaif, and Charmme Kaur in key roles, and actors Puneet Issar and Mukesh Rishi feature in minor roles.

She continued and made her film debut in Malayalam as well. In 2006, Balram vs. Tharadas was released in theatres. The movie, which was directed by IV Sasi, and written by T Damodaran and SN Swamy, featured Mammootty, Katrina Kaif, Mukesh, and Siddique in pivotal parts.

The next movie Kaif will appear in is Phone Bhoot, which will be released in November 2022 and stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter. She is filming Tiger 3, and Sriram Raghavan’s Merry Christmas with Vijay Sethupathi. She co-stars alongside Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa.
