The death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has caused a furore on the social media networks and even after months of his alleged suicide, the case is being probed at the highest level. While CBI is investigating any foul play in the alleged suicide of the actor, their investigation along with ED led to an unexpected drug angle in the entertainment industry.

While NCB was appointed to probe the drug links to the late actor, actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty among others were arrested for illegally procuring and consuming narcotics and contraband substances. While the investigation led by NCB added new revelations in Sushant Singh Rajput’s case, many renowned faces of the Bollywood industry came under the radar of NCB. Recently, there were reports doing rounds over the media and the internet that claimed that the name of actress Dia Mirza also surfaced in the investigation carried out by the NCB.

In response to the reports, Dia Mirza has come out to defend herself and clarified that she has never procured or consumed any illegal substance. Taking to the social media platforms, the actress wrote, “I would like to strongly refute and categorically deny this news as being false, baseless and with mala fide intentions. Such frivolous reporting has a direct impact on my reputation being besmirched and is causing damage to my career which I have painstakingly built with years of hard work. I have never procured or consumed any narcotics or contraband substances of any form in my life. I intend to pursue the full extent of legal remedies available to me as a law-abiding citizen of India. Thanks to my supporters for standing by me.”

While the actress has publically refuted such claims, another actress Deepika Padukone was also expected to make a statement after an alleged chat of the actress with her talent manager surfaced online. Meanwhile, NCB is interrogating Sushant’s talent manager Jaya Saha and also summoned Deepika’s manager Karishma Prakash and KWAN Talent Management’s CEO Dhruv Chitgopekar for interrogation.
