Dhurandhar is proving to be one of the most unpredictable films of the year. In a rare trend for a weekday, the film outperformed its Monday numbers and delivered a phenomenal Tuesday. What surprised everyone even more was that day five collections matched its opening day figures, placing Dhurandhar among the top Tuesday performers in Bollywood history. With this surge, the film has also climbed to the fourth position among Ranveer Singh’s highest-grossing titles in India.
Industry signals were strong from the morning itself, with more than five and a half crore gross already booked in advance sales. But the real boost came later, when evening and night shows witnessed a massive rise in occupancy across the country. As per the official figures, Dhurandhar collected an extraordinary 28.6 crore net on Tuesday, exactly the same amount it earned on day one. This also means the film recorded a seventeen point six nine percent jump over Monday’s 24.3 crore.
With this performance, Dhurandhar now holds the seventh biggest Tuesday of all time for a Bollywood release. It has surpassed films like Stree 2, which collected 26.8 crore, Jawan, which made 26.2 crore, and Chhaava with 25.75 crore.
After five days in theatres, Dhurandhar stands at 159.4 crore net in India, which equals 188.09 crore gross. This allows the film to leap ahead of Gully Boy, which made 139.98 crore, and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, which made 153.5 crore. It now sits as Ranveer Singh’s fourth biggest domestic hit. At its current pace, the film is expected to pass Bajirao Mastani in the next two days and secure the third position.
