Television actor Dheeraj Dhoopar enjoys a great fan following for portraying the lead character in the daily soap, Kundali Bhagya, co-starring Shraddha Arya. While the actor recently turned producer and bankrolled a couple of projects, he is all prepared to make a large scale OTT debut with the upcoming Netflix series, The Rise Of Sivagami.
Dheeraj had earlier expressed his interest in the digital format and revealed that he has been in talks for a few OTT projects. According to a report, the actor has been approached to play a key role in the upcoming prequel to the popular Baahubali movie franchise. OTT giant Netflix has been working on the prequel for a long time and if grapevines are to be believed, Dheeraj will be seen playing a pivotal character in the origin story of Sivagami. However, no details about his character have been revealed.
The prequel web series of the Baahubali franchise wrapped its filming last year but the makers scrapped the entire work and started from scratch after not getting the desired outcome. The OTT giant reportedly felt that the scale and vow factor was missing in the final version of the web series and decided to re-shot the entire show with a different cast and crew.
