Bollywood is raining with biopics and remakes since the last decade and the trend is not going away any soon. While the filmmakers are constantly looking for great stories or characters for their movies, the latest addition to the biopics is to be the one of Indian Chess Grandmaster Vishwanathan Anand. While the five-time world champion has given his nod to the biopic, the makers are working on the cast.

As per the reports, Anand L Rai, who will helm the biopic, is looking forward to working with Dhanush in another project. While Dhanush made his Bollywood debut in 2013 with Anand L Rai directorial, Raanjhanaa, he is currently shooting with Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar for the upcoming romantic-comedy Atrangi, which is helmed by Anand. Their bromance is well known and if reports are to be believed, Dhanush is the first choice of the filmmaker to walk in the shoes of the Vishwanathan Anand.

For the unversed, Vishwanathan Anand is a former world chess champion who became the first grandmaster from India in 1988. Vishwanathan is one one of the few players in the world to have surpassed an Elo rating of 2800 and a five-time world chess champion. A biopic on the Indian legend with his backstory and streak of success will definitely be a treat for the cine-goers.
