American pop singer Demi Lovato has shared a video on Twitter which states their decision to officially be changing their pronouns to ‘they/them’. Lovato posted a series of tweets in which they added that they would henceforth be identifying as non-binary.
The singer tweets that not only has their life been a journey for themselves, but they were also living for those on the other side of the cameras and supporting them consistently. They then finally announces that they feel very happy to share another part of her life with everyone and feels proud to let the world know that they identify as non-binary and will officially change their pronouns to they/them moving forward.
“Today is a day I’m so happy to share more of my life with you all — I am proud to let you know that I identify as non-binary and will officially be changing my pronouns to they/them moving forward Sparkling heart,” the singer wrote in the tweet.
For Demi, this has come after a lot of emotional healing and self-reflective work. They say that they are still learning more about themselves, and even though they don’t like to call themselves an expert or a spokesperson, they share this with everyone so they can open another level of vulnerability for themselves.
They believe that they are doing right and doing it for those that haven’t been able to share who they truly are with their loved ones, out there. They advise them to remain strong and keep living in their truths and always remember that they are there in this too and sends so much love all the way. Lovato’s this announcement comes in the wake of their declaration in March that they were pansexual.
