The Narcotics Control Bureau has been probing an alleged drug nexus in Bollywood for over months now after a drug angle surfaced in Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case. While many arrests have been made by the agency in links with drugs in the Bollywood industry, A-listers like Deepika Padukone came under the radar of the investigation.

Deepika Padukone and her manager Karishma Prakash were summoned by the NCB team after an alleged conversation of the two about drugs came into light. While the actress was reportedly given a clean chit from the team, her manager was under the radar of NCB and the team recently raided her residence in Mumbai. As per the media reports, a small amount of contraband substance has been seized from Karishma residence during the recently conducted raid and she has been summoned by the agency for further probe.

In September, Karishma Prakash along with Deepika Padukone was grilled by the NCB officials for hours for drug procuring. The actress has admitted to the viral screenshots of her conversation with her manager but denied consumption of drugs. For the unversed, Sushant Singh Rajput allegedly killed himself in June and investigation in his alleged suicide led to the involvement of CBI followed by NCB.
