Ever since renowned director and producer Rohit Shetty announced a collaboration with another renowned director Farah Khan, everyone had been waiting for more revelations of the project. It was later revealed that they are coming together for the remake of Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini starrer classic hit Satte Pe Satta and rumours of Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan doing the movie started doing rounds.
It was earlier confirmed that Hrithik Roshan has been locked to play the Amitabh Bachchan’s character in the remake of the classic hit and now the female lead for the movie has been confirmed as well. According to a report in the leading entertainment gossips portal, Pinkvilla, Deepika Padukone has been roped to play Hema Malini’s character in the remake of Satte Pe Satta.
Deepika Padukone has earlier worked with Farah Khan and Rohit Shetty, separately, for a number of projects and they were keen on casting her as she fits the character perfectly. According to the mentioned sources, when Farah Khan narrated the script to Deepika, she nodded instantly and joined the team.
Farah Khan is to helm the remake while Rohit Shetty will be bankrolling the project. The remake brings Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan together for the first time and we are expecting a great performance from them. Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan is awaiting the release of his movie Super 30 and Deepika Padukone is shooting for Kapil Dev biographical sports drama with husband Ranveer Singh.
