One of the most successful Bollywood actresses, Deepika Padukone, made her dream debut opposite ‘King of Romance’ Shah Rukh Khan in Farah Khan’s reincarnation drama, Om Shanti Om. While the actress took a break from the big screen post her marriage, she is back in the form and announcing back to back big-budgeted movies.
Deepika Padukone last delivered a soulful performance in the biopic drama of an acid-attack survivor, Chhapaak, and awaiting the release of another biographical drama based on India’s victory in the cricket world cup, 83, co-starring husband Ranveer Singh. Meanwhile, the long-legged beauty has announced a series of projects including Nag Ashwin directorial with Prabhas. The latest report has it that Padukone is in talks with Yash Raj Films which is yet to be announced.
The source claims that Deepika Padukone has locked her dates for a big YRF film and will be reuniting with Shah Rukh Khan in the romantic actioner. The speculated project is to be helmed by War director Siddharth Anand and is said to be her biggest actioner so far in her career. While the actress has allegedly given her nod to the film after reading the script, she is yet to sign the dotted line. On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan has been on a self-imposed sabbatical for years and is expected to make a movie announcement soon.
If things get in place as expected, the movie will be announced in a grand fashion on Yash Chopra’s birthday as Yash Raj Films is also celebrating its 50 years in the industry. The movie will also mark the fourth collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in full-fledged roles.
