While the entertainment industry is suffering a huge loss due to the ongoing pandemic, a few celebrities are to face much more due to their alleged links in the drugs nexus. Earlier actress Rhea Chakraborty among others was arrested for procuring contraband substances, names of many A-listers cropped up in connection with the drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput’s alleged suicide case.
Earlier, there were reports that Rhea Chakraborty, during her interrogation with NCB, had given some names from the industry in links with the drug consumption. Meanwhile, alleged chats of Deepika Padukone and talent manager Karishma Prakash discussing drugs surfaced online adding momentum to the drug racket in the entertainment industry. Just today, it was informed that Rhea’s former manager Jaya Saha has confessed ordering drugs for Shraddha Kapoor and the latest report suggests that Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh have been summoned by the NCB team for interrogation.
NCB officer Ashok Jain has confirmed that many people are summoned by the agency in relation to their ongoing probe and they are expected to appear before NCB team in the next few days. While Ashok Jain refused to confirm or refuse the names of the people summoned, sources claim that Deepika Padukone is likely to join the probe on September 25 while Shraddha and Sara will be interrogated on September 26.
