Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are the most loved on-screen and a real-life couple of the tinsel town and their fans were elated when the news of them coming together on the big screen came out. However, the latest development in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bajwa might disappoint the fans as Deepika Padukone is reportedly no longer a part of the epic musical.

According to a source of entertainment portal Bollywood Hungama, Deepika Padukone is no longer a part of the ambitious remake of the 1952 movie Baiju Bawra. It was earlier reported that Ranveer Singh has been signed as the lead actor for the movie quashing reports of Ranbir Kapoor or Kartik Aaryan to be the part. If things had worked out, Baiju Bawra would have been the fourth film of DeepVeer with Sanjay Leela Bhansali after Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani, and Padmaavat.

However, much to the disappointment of the fans of Deepika and Ranveer, the makers are eyeing another actress after Deepika demanded pay parity among actors and actresses. According to the report, the Piku actress demanded the same remuneration as her husband Ranveer for the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial. However, the filmmaker regretfully turned down the demand for equal pay making her out of the project.

Meanwhile, the real-life couple will be sharing screen space in the upcoming sports biopic, 83.
