Bollywood and global icon Deepika Padukone has another feather added to her cap as the new chairperson of MAMI (Mumbai Academy of Moving Image) Mumbai festival.

In wake of the earlier chairperson, filmmaker and producer Kiran Rao getting busy with her new project, she has handed over the reigns to Deepika as unanimously decided by the board members of MAMI.

The announcement was made today by the director of MAMI and film critic Anupama Chopra on her twitter handle who welcomed Deepika to lead the festival and take it to greater heights.
