Coronavirus turned out to be the biggest threat to humanity and the viral pandemic has claimed more than 90 thousand lives according to the statistics of the Johns Hopkins University. While the virus has infected more than 1.5 million people around the world, renowned singer Kanika Kapoor became the first Bollywood celebrity to develop COVID-19. However, her Coronavirus diagnosis led to an outcry.
For the uninitiated, Kanika Kapoor was tested positive for COVID-19 after she returned from London but faced criticism for attending multiple parties and not following self-quarantine measures. Chief Medical Officer of Lucknow filed a complaint against the Baby Doll singer for her negligence which led to an FIR lodged by the Lucknow police. Meanwhile, Kanika was admitted to the hospital where she came out negative post four positive tests.
While the actress has been discharged from the hospital, she is to live in a 14-day self-quarantine at her home for precautionary measures. However, the latest reports suggest that post the 14-day self-isolation, Kanika Kapoor will be questioned by the Lucknow police related to events associated after her infection and putting others at infection risk.
On the other hand, Kanika Kapoor deleted her confession post about testing positive for the virus post the controversy. “Life teaches us to make good use of time, while time teaches us the value of life. Going off to bed. Sending you all loving vibes. Stay safe you guys. Thank you for your concern but I am not in the ICU. I am fine. I hope my next test is negative. Waiting to go home to my kids and family…miss them!” she had earlier wrote on her social media handle.
