Two weeks ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a nationwide lockdown to curb the spread of the Coronavirus and the entire citizens are confined to their homes. However, medical professionals along with police, army and essential workers are working tirelessly day and night on the frontline.
Giving a shoutout to everyone working selflessly amid the viral pandemic and thanking them for their service, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar took to his social media handle to write a heartfelt note. The Bachchan Pandey actor shared a picture of him with a note saying ‘Dil Se Thank You (Thank you from the heart)’ along with a caption which read, “Name: Akshay Kumar City: Mumbai …Mere aur mere parivaar ki taraf se… Police, Nagar Nigam ke workers, doctors, nurses, NGOs, volunteers, government officials, vendors, building ke guards ko #DilSeThankYou.”
The actor thanked Mumbai police, doctors, nurses, NGOs, volunteers, municipal workers, government officials, vendors and security personnel for their service amid the unfortunate time. Akshay Kumar was also the first to donate to the PM-CARES Fund after the prime minister urged everyone to support the cause. The actor lent his support and donated INR 25 crore to the prime minister’s relief fund to fight against COVID-19.
