Last year, there were reports that Katrina Kaif has given her nod for a horror-comedy co-staring newcomers, Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi. However, the news lost its hype with time as the production banner, Excel Entertainment, kept its mum over the speculated project. On Monday morning, Farhan Akhtar resurrected the anticipation as he officially announced the fresh pairing of Kaif, Khatter and Chaturvedi for Phone Bhoot.
Taking to his social media handle, actor and filmmaker, Farhan Akhtar, made the official announcement for Phone Bhoot starring the fresh trio as he shared their first photoshoot look. “The one-stop shop for all bhoot related problems, #PhoneBhoot ringing in your nearest cinema in 2021.” wrote Akhtar as he spilt beans over the release date of the horror-comedy. It was also confirmed that the movie will be helmed by Gurmeet Singh.
Although the plotline of the project has been kept under wraps, the movie title itself gives away a major chunk. Earlier, Ishaan Khatter opened up on the speculations and affirmed that he had liked the script as well as stated it as extraordinary. “I have heard the film and it is very very exciting. It’s an absolute blast of a script. Hopefully, once things start moving there will be more information on that,” he told as he spoke to an entertainment portal.
