Renowned comedians, Sugandha Mishra and Sanket Bhosale, tied the knot weeks ago amid the pandemic and shared pictures of their wedding. While their fans welcomed their marriage with congratulatory messages and wishes, the couple has landed into a legal soup after defying COVID-19 rules during their wedding ceremonies.
The bride’s family organized a large gathering at a resort in Phagwara, Punjab, and posted videos of the ceremony on social media. In the shared videos, a large gathering can be seen violating the guidelines of COVID-19 in the second wave of the pandemic. A police complaint has been filed against Sugandha and Sanket under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code pertaining to disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant and relevant sections of the Disaster Management Act.
Sugandha and Sanket have not responded to the complaint registered against them so far. A police official has said that there have been no arrests made in the complaint as of now.
Earlier, comedian Upasana Singh was booked for defying COVID-19 guidelines as she was spotted filming her upcoming movie along with a crew without a permit.
