A while ago, Marvels announced their line-up of movies for phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe which is to commence with the full-fledged movie of comic-based assassin character, Black Widow. While MCU fans cannot wait for the movies to start rolling, new additions to the star cast of Thor: Love And Thunder are keeping the hype real.
Earlier, it was confirmed that Chris Hemsworth will reprise his character of Thor, Tessa Thompson was to return as Valkyrie along with director Taika Waititi and Natalie Portman reprising their characters of Korg and Jane Foster. Now the latest reports have confirmed the rumoured deal of Christian Bale with the Marvel Cinematic Universe and he is to play a crucial character in the high-voltage actioner.
Confirming the inclusion of Christian Bale in the MCU, Tessa Thompson spoke to an entertainment portal and said, “Christian Bale is going to play our villain, which is going to be fantastic.” The English actor, who is best known for playing the caped crusader in the DC universe, will now be going against the God of Thunder in the upcoming installation to the Thor franchise. “I’ve read the script. I can’t tell you much. Lots of exciting text messages exchanged between Natalie and I. We’re going to have fun. Taika is writing [and] directing. Some familiar faces. Some new people coming into the mix,” Tessa further added.
While there has been no official confirmation regarding the supervillain character that Christian will be playing in Thor: Love and Thunder, the rumours have it that he is most likely to play the Marvel comic book based supervillain, Cul Borson aka Serpent. However, we will have to wait for a while to get more insights into the movie.
Helmed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Love and Thunder is the last movie in the earlier released list of MCU phase 4 and is slated to release on the 5th of November, 2021.
