Ever since Robert Pattinson has been roped in to play the caped crusader in the Matt Reeves’ Batman movie, everyone has been going crazy with the decision. While a few considered the calibre of the actor, the majority have disapproved Robert Pattinson playing the Batman on the big screen. Settling the debate, Robert recently received the seal of approval from the former Batman.
Christian Bale, who is considered the best live-action Batman by many, has recently opened up on Robert taking the mantle forward. During an interview at the 44th Toronto International Film Festival, Christian was asked what advice he would give to the Twillight actor. Calling Robert Pattinson a fascinating actor and a great choice to play the role, Christian said, “Everybody protested when Heath [Ledger] was cast as the Joker, and look at what an absolutely brilliant performance he gave.”
Heath Ledger played the iconic antagonist of the Batman franchise and received an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his superlative performance in the posthumous release, The Dark Knight. Christian Bale played the Batman in the same movie along with the other two movies in the Dark Knight Trilogy.
Meanwhile, Matt Reeves’ standalone movie will star Robert Pattinson as Gotham city’s watchful protector and is expected to go on the floors in November this year. The movie is slated to a release on 25 June 2021.
