Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput remained in the headlines for months after his untimely and unfortunate demise last year and his fans protested on a national and international level to bring him justice. After a year and a half, the actor’s last theatrical release, Chhichhore, is back in the news for all the good reasons as the movie will be releasing in China in January next year.
Featuring late actor Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead, Chhichhore, released in September 2019 and had a good business at the Indian box office with great word of mouth review. The movie helmed by Nitesh Tiwari was the last theatrical release of Sushant as his last movie, Dil Bechara, was released on the streaming giant Disney+ Hotstar given the pandemic restrictions in theatres. After over two years of the release, the makers have decided to release Chhichhore in China which has become eye candy for Indian producers recently.
Earlier, Nitesh Tiwari released his blockbuster Dangal featuring Amir Khan in China and the movie was very well received by the Chinese audience as it managed to mint over 1000 crore Indian rupees at the China box office. Following Dangal, Hichki and Hindi Medium also did great businesses in China and the makers of Chhichhore are also expecting a good business given the similar theme.
Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, Chhichhore features Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Naveen Polishetty, Tushar Pandey, Saharsh Kumar Shukla, and Ranjan Raj in pivotal characters.
