Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi starrer mystery-thriller, Chehre, has been one of the most anticipated upcoming movies that have been pushed multiple times due to the ongoing pandemic crisis. Finally, the makers have made up their minds to release the movie and the release date for the theatrical release has been announced.

Featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Emraan Hashmi, Rhea Chakraborty, Krystle D’Souza among others, the trailer of Chehre that was released early this year received a great response from the audience and critics alike. The Rumi Jafry directorial will be released worldwide on the big screens on 27 August unlike the recent trend of OTT releases.

“The team had taken great efforts and we always thought that Chehre deserved a theatrical release,” shared the producer of the movie, Anand Pandit, on the decision to release it in the theatres. Sharing a similar feeling, Rumi added, “We are excited that our film is getting a theatrical release because the way it is shot and the efforts we have taken in terms of the production and post-production can only be experienced in the cinema halls.”

Along with Big B, Emraan and Rhea, Chehre also stars Annu Kapoor, Krystle D’Souza, Drithiman Chakroborthy, Raghubir Yadav, and Siddhanth Kapoor in key roles. The movie will feature Amitabh Bachchan as a lawyer while Emraan will be seen playing the character of a business tycoon. It is the first time that the two will be sharing the screen space.
