The live-action superhero franchises have never failed to amaze the comic book fans. However, watching their favourite characters say goodbye to the franchise and part ways have been the biggest heartbreaks. While the Marvel Cinematic Universe is inching towards much bigger and interesting projects, the latest news will make Captain America and Wolverine fans to come to the edge of their seats.
According to a tabloid, the makers at the Marvel Studios are planning to incorporate a new movie in the list of their future projects and it might bring back two one of the most loved characters of all time, Captain America and Wolverine. While Captain America wore his superhero suit for the last time in the epic Avengers: Endgame, Wolverine bid adieu to the X-Men franchise with the 2017 release Logan.
If the grapevine is to be believed, Chris Evans will be returning as Steve Rogers aka Captain America for the project in which he will be pitted against the physically-enhanced mutant with accelerated healing, Logan aka Wolverine. While the mentioning of their showdown is enough to get the cash registers ringing at the box office, details about the same is yet to be verified.
Earlier, the studio had revealed that they are working on the right way to include the X-Men boss in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One speculation is that when Captain America went back in time to meet his girlfriend Peggy Carter post the climax in Avengers: Endgame, he crossed his paths with Wolverine in the ’60s or ’70s which could set the pace for their encounter. However, there has been no concrete information about the project yet.
