Actress Mollie Fitzgerald, who played a short-lived character of Stark girl in the Marvel’s superhero movie, Captain America: The First Avenger, has been jailed for reportedly killing her own mother. The actress was arrested on new year’s eve and charged with second-degree murder.

Mollie Fitzgerald allegedly stabbed her mother to death in a second-degree murder and has been jailed on USD 500,000 cash bond. As per the report, the actress was arrested 11 days after the dead body of her mother, Patricia Fitzgerald, was recovered from her home in Olathe. Mollie was arrested on 31st December and has been sent to Johnson Country Jail.

On the professional front, Mollie Fitzgerald played the character of Stark girl in the blockbuster sci-fi movie, Captain America: The First Avenger, in the year 2011. Addition to acting, Mollie is also a filmmaker and has directed movies like The Lawful Truth and The Creeps.

Gary Hunziker, who is the brother of the deceased, said that he had no information about the death of her sister and was shocked along with the entire family to learn about the same. “It doesn’t matter the circumstances — the loss of a sister is what it’s all about,” Gary added.
