Bunty Aur Babli starring Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukherji, and Amitabh Bachchan is one of the most iconic comedy movies of Bollywood and Yash Raj Films are planning to recreate the magic with a fresh cast and a leapt story. A sequel to the comedy-drama has always been on the cards and the recent speculations suggest that the project is leaping forward.

According to the sources close to the development of the movie, the sequel to Bunty Aur Babli is on the cards and makers are working on the script which will be based on the present time and take a huge leap in the plotline of the first instalment. Another speculated development is that Yash Raj Films has locked the new Bunty for the second con drama and it is none other than Gully Boy famed Siddhant Chaturvedi.

As per the sources, Siddhant Chaturvedi, who was loved by the masses for his portrayal of MC Sher character in the musical drama Gully Boy, has bagged the lead role in the project. Siddhant will play the new Bunty in Bunty Aur Babli 2 while his Babli has been kept under wraps. There is also a strong buzz that there might be more than one lead pair in the much-anticipated sequel.
