Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer mythological drama, Brahmastra, is one of the most awaited movies of the year and touted to be a grand cinematic experience. However, due to the pandemic-induced lockdown, the project is running late on the timeline and after Fox Star Studios got acquired by The Walt Disney Company, Brahmastra is undergoing major production changes.

Meanwhile, the logo-reveal video of the Ayan Mukerjee directorial got offline from Fox Star Studios’ YouTube channel without an explanation and fans have been wondering the cause of it. Though the fans are seeking an answer from the makers of the movie, sources claim that the teaser has been brought down on purpose. Since Fox Star Studios is being shut down, the makers of the movie are planning to brand Brahmastra as a Disney movie.

Disney has also shown its interest in directly releasing the movie over its OTT platform, Disney+ Hotstar. However, co-producer Karan Johar has deliberately rejected the offer as he wishes to release the grand movie loaded with VFX on the big screen. However, seems like the movie will still be marketed as a Disney release. The logo-reveal video is expected to be uploaded again on YouTube with the Disney logo.

Helmed by Ayan Mukerjee, Brahmastra stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan as the leads with Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna and Divyendu playing prominent characters. The movie was announced as part of a trilogy and the other parts of the franchise will be shot after the completion of the first chapter.
