Salman Khan’s Sikandar witnessed its biggest box office surge on Eid Monday, cashing in on the festive holiday. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the film managed to attract a solid audience, securing its position as the third highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2025.
Directed by AR Murugadoss and co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, Sikandar has faced polarizing word-of-mouth but is still managing decent footfalls at theatres. The film added ₹33.36 crore on day 2, marking an 11% growth from its opening day—a commendable jump given the circumstances. The two-day total stands at ₹63.42 crore, with ₹30.06 crore earned on the first day and ₹33.36 crore on the second.
Currently, Sikandar is the third highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2025, behind Chhaava (₹606.26 crore) and Sky Force (₹134.93 crore). While it is expected to surpass Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force, claiming the top spot remains unlikely.
Salman’s previous Eid film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (2023), earned ₹41.56 crore in its first two days. In contrast, Sikandar has earned 52% more in the same timeframe, signalling a stronger performance.
With Tuesday being a regular working day, a decline in collections is expected due to mixed reviews. However, if Sikandar manages to earn at least ₹17.73 crore today, it will break into Salman Khan’s top 10 opening weekends, surpassing Dabangg 3 (₹81.15 crore). All eyes are now on how well it holds up at the box office in the coming days.
