2019 had been a super successful year for Akshay Kumar and the actor was a part of many back to back super hit and blockbuster movies and ended the year with the super comedy, Good Newwz, with an ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh. While the movie was well-received by the critics and the audience, it managed to mint a success at the box office as well.
Despite tough competition from Ajay Devgn starrer Tanha Ji: The Unsung Warrior and Hollywood biggies, 1917 and Dolittle, the Raj Mehta directorial went on to enter the 200 crore club and didn’t stop there. At the moment, Good Newwz stands at a total box office collection of 200.02 crore INR, thereby surpassing the lifetime collection of Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer 3 Idiots.
According to the trade analysts, the comedy-drama is expected to end its theatrical run with around 210 crore INR in its bank. With 200.02 crores, Good Newwz has become the second highest-grossing movie of Kareena Kapoor Khan’s acting career preceded by Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which currently stands at an undisputed lifetime collection of 320.24 crore INR.
