Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi starrer comedy franchise, Munna Bhai, is one of the most successful outings of both the actors and the first two instalments of the franchise were blockbusters. Given the success, the makers had announced the third movie in the series in 2006 but it never saw the light. Time and again, makers have split beans on Munna Bhai 3 and now actor Boman Irani has something to say.
Boman Irani played a key role in the first and second instalments of the franchise and he has news for the Munna Bhai fans. However, the news is that there is no news. In a recent interaction with a tabloid, Boman Irani said, “I don’t know if we should say this but there is news. There is some news, and the news is there is no news.” Arshad Warsi who plays second to Sanjay Dutt in the franchise agreed that there is no development in the franchise so far.
Earlier filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra said on behalf of the makers that they do not have the right script for the third part and therefore, they do not want to take the franchise forward without a solid script. “We all are mad. We are seeking happiness and joy which we believe is beyond money,” he added as he said that the movie will bring audiences to the screen despite the story but they are more interested in creating cinema than making money.
