Maharashtra School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad, Minister of Maharashtra School Education announces postponing of class 10 and 12 board exams given the current Covid situation in the state. The second wave has been so so serious that it doesn’t seem apt to conduct any examination.

“Your health is our priority,” Gaikwad tweeted reassuring the country soon after singer Armaan Malik and actor Sonu Sood took to Twitter and requested the authorities to cease the conduction board and other examinations offline in the presently keeping in check the health risks involved.

Armaan tweeted by saying that he doesn’t think that the exams should be held and the concerned authorities should take into account the mental and physical health of millions of students who’ve been preparing, and restarting to prepare for these exams. He adds that education is definitely important but not at the cost of the health of any child. He continued by saying that he doesn’t know if his voice would be enough but he does hope that the government will pay attention to it and humbly decide in the best interest of the students.

On the other hand, Sonu rightly supports the students and their life by tweeting that if the authorities cancel the exam, they pass and if they conduct the exams, they fail. Sood feels that there should be an internal assessment method that should be followed rather than risking so many lives.

Besides this, Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon, and Music composer Vishal Dadlani tweeted last week had also taken to Twitter last week to express their concerns given the second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic.
