Abhishek Bachchan has been enjoying his second innings in his acting career and he recently made his digital debut with the thriller series, Breathe: Into the Shadows, followed by the crime drama, The Big Bull. The actor is all set for another digital release as his next produced by Shah Rukh Khan will be skipping the traditional theatrical release.

Featuring Abhishek Bachchan and Chitrangada Singh in pivotal roles, Bob Biswas is a spin-off of the popular thriller, Kahani. The makers wrapped the filming of the movie last year amid the pandemic and they have been looking for a release ever since. While the cinemas have opened up recently, the makers of the movie are considering a digital release and if reports are to be believed, a deal has been sealed with OTT giant ZEE5.

The crime thriller will premiere on ZEE5 and makers will soon announce the release date of the highly-anticipated movie. The date is yet to be locked as the team are going back and forth to find the best period to release the movie and get the maximum exposure.

Helmed by Diya Annapurna Ghosh, Bob Biswas features Abhishek Bachchan as the iconic character from the Vidya Balan starrer and the actor has undergone a physical transformation to make his character more realistic. Along with Abhishek, the movie also features Chitrangada Singh, Tina Desai, and Ditipriya Roy in key roles. We might also witness a cameo of Vidya Balan in the spin-off.
