Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput left for his heavenly abode on June 14 leaving behind a black hole of mysteries about his death. While the entire nation remains shaken with the unfortunate and untimely demise of a talented actor till date, there has been an angle of a foul play since the very first day of the actor’s death. While the Mumbai Police and Patna Police are carrying out separate investigations in the case, a request for CBI probe has been made for over a month.

Recently, the late actor’s father KK Singh lodged an FIR against actress Rhea Chakraborty and her family under various sections of IPC in Patna giving a new turn to the case. Following new revelations and accusations, many celebrities, as well as political leaders, have requested a thorough investigation by CBI. Joining the bandwagon, Cheif Minister of Bihar state, Nitish Kumar, has also backed a CBI probe in Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case after receiving consent from KK Singh.

CM Nitish Kumar said that DGP Bihar spoke to Sushant Singh Rajput’s father and the latter gave his consent for CBI inquiry. “Now, we are recommending CBI probe in the matter,” said Nitish Kumar. Earlier, Chirag Paswan of Lok Janshakti Party had urged Nitish Kumar to handover the case to the CBI. Meanwhile, the lawyer of Rhea Chakraborty was quick to react to Nitish Kumar’s statement and told that Bihar has no legal grounds to transfer the case. “At most, it would be a ‘Zero FIR’ transferable to Mumbai Police. Transfer of a case, on which they had no jurisdiction, to CBI has no legal sanctity,” said Satish Maneshinde.

Patna police and Mumbai police continue their separate investigations in the Sushant Singh Rajput Suicide Case. Sushant had passed away in his Bandra residence on June 14.
