As the release of the highly anticipated film Merry Christmas approaches, the team, including Katrina Kaif, Vijay Sethupathi, director Sriram Raghavan, producer Ramesh Taurani, and Sanjay Routray, engaged in a press conference in Mumbai. Amid the discussions, Katrina Kaif shared insights into the challenges she faced while working on the film, directed by Sriram Raghavan and co-starring Vijay Sethupathi.

When questioned about her film choices, Katrina emphasized her focus on collaborating with good directors and engaging stories. Expressing her admiration for Sriram Raghavan, she revealed that working with him was on her bucket list. The actress acknowledged the challenge of performing scenes in Tamil for Merry Christmas, considering it’s a language unfamiliar to her. Despite the linguistic hurdle, she expressed pride in being part of both the Hindi and Tamil versions, stating they have come together beautifully.

Vijay Sethupathi, responding to Sriram Raghavan’s characterization of him as a wonderful actor rather than a star, downplayed the actor versus star debate. He highlighted that everyone is essentially an actor, emphasizing their role in supporting storytellers and being a part of compelling narratives. According to Vijay, the distinction between actor and star is minimal, as both contribute to the storytelling process.

Set to hit theatres on January 12, 2024, Merry Christmas promises a cinematic experience enriched by the collaboration of talented individuals and the unique challenges faced during its production.
