The movie will trace the making of the biggest south Indian food chain with over 100 outlets spread across 28 countries run by a rags-to-riches businessman and how he got convicted in the murder of Jeevajothi’s husband. Jeevajothi Santhakumar, who is looking forward to sharing her story with the world, shared, “I am overwhelmed and elated by Junglee Pictures’ decision to make a feature film about my legal and emotional battle with this affluent hotelier, a struggle that went on for 18 years. I am confident that seeing this story on the big screen will bring about a drastic change in the status quo of patriarchy.”
The movie will also bring together a second collaboration between Junglee Pictures and screenwriter Bhavani Iyer after their last successful outing, Raazi. The cast of the movie is yet to be decided as the makers are currently working on the script of the movie to make it appealing to the Indian audience. The thriller will be inspired by real events and may include some moments of fictional drama.
