Akshay Kumar is undoubtedly one of the biggest and busiest actors of the country. While the actor is awaiting the release of his horror-comedy Laxmii, he wrapped up the shooting for thriller-drama, Bell Bottom, despite COVID-19 and currently working on the period-drama, Prithviraj, at a city studio. He is also expected to wrap up the shooting of Anand L Rai’s love-drama Atrangi Re by the end of the year and start 2021 with highly anticipated Bachchan Pandey.
The Farhad Samji directorial is expected to go on the floors in January 2021 with Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. The production team has already secured all the requisite documents and permissions to start the shooting with the given government guidelines. The film unit with the lead actors and director will fly to Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, for a shooting schedule of 2 months at different locations.
A source close to the development of the project informs that the team will undergo an extensive workshop on all the standard operating procedures issued by the government of India to ensure a safe film set with all precautionary measures in place. The entire cast and crew will undergo COVID-19 test in December and will be quarantined for three days before the commencement of the shooting. There will also be stationed doctors and special medical rooms set up near the shooting locations for checkups.
Starring Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon in the prominent characters, Bachchan Pandey is helmed by Farhad Samji and will mark Akshay’s tenth collaboration with the producer Sajid Nadiadwala. The movie is expected to release in the last quarter of next year.
