Akshay Kumar is the busiest superstar of the Indian entertainment industry who managed to wrap up an entire movie from a start to finish schedule during the nationwide-lockdown. Now that the lockdown has been lifted for months now, Akshay is shooting for back to back projects and his upcoming action drama, Bachchan Pandey, went on the floors recently.
The first look poster of the Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon starrer was unveiled last year with a great response from his fans, the movie officially went on the floors on Wednesday in Jaisalmer. Filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala’s wife Wardha Khan Nadiadwala broke the coconut at the sets with her son, Subhan Khan Nadiadwala, posing with the film’s clapperboard as they commenced the filming of the highly anticipated movie.

Wardha took to her social media handle to make the announcement with the video clip and wrote, “Muhurat shot done. Congrats to you all. Good luck team #BachchanPandey @sknadiadwala @snadiadwala1 Don’t miss Ms. tod fods.” Lead actress Kriti Sanon also took to her Instagram story to inform her fans about the production.
Helmed by Farhad Samji, Bachchan Pandey features Akshay Kumar in the titular character of a gangster who aspires to be an actor. The action-comedy also features Kriti Sanon as a journalist who wishes to be a director. The movie was earlier slated for a release on Christmas 2020 but due to the pandemic crisis, the production was postponed.
