Indian actor Ayushmann Khurrana is best known for his selection of scripts and in his acting career, he has delivered back-to-back memorable performances through his movies. While Ayushmann usually signs movies delivering a social message through the story, he is ready to try different genres and has joined the horror-comedy universe of filmmaker Dinesh Vijan.

Ayushmann Khurrana will next be seen in the mass entertainer, An Action Hero, and during a media interaction to promote the same, he confirmed his debut in Dinesh Vijan’s universe. “Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik are trying to build a horror universe. It is very interesting and intriguing, and it is very new for the Indian audience. So, let’s see when it happens and we will have an official announcement soon,” he told PTI.

Earlier, Stree actor Rajkummar Rao had also revealed that he would team up with Ayushmann Khurrana and Varun Dhawan for more instalments in Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy universe. Establishing with the blockbuster Stree featuring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in the leads, Dinesh Vijan took it forward with Janhvi Kapoor’s Roohi. With the roaring success of the franchise, the fans await the release of Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya while the makers also have a sequel for Stree in the making.

If the reports are to be believed, Ayushmann Khurrana will debut in Dinesh’s universe in a new instalment based on the concept of vampires. However, neither of the two has reacted to the speculations so far and we will have to wait to see what the filmmaker has in store for the fans of his horror-comedy universe.
