Ayushmann Khurrana is known to work with exceptional movie scripts and woo his audience with his natural acting and phenomenal performances. While the actor was last seen in the social-drama, Bala, in which he perfectly portrayed the character of a balding man, his upcoming movie is aiming to break the same-sex love taboo.

Helmed by Hitesh Kewalya, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan stars Ayushmann Khurrana and debutant Jitendra Kumar in the lead roles as they play a homosexual couple. While the trailer of the movie was well-received by one and all, it also gave us a glimpse of a steamy kiss between the two actors which became a topic of discussion among the netizens. Discussing the same, Ayushmann Khurrana recently opened up at The Kapil Sharma Show.

At the celebrity talk show, host Kapil Sharma quizzed Ayushmann Khurrana about his experience on kissing Jitendra Kumar onscreen and the actor replied, “As an actor I feel, we have to be ready for such circumstances where we have to kiss anybody anywhere. We have to be prepared for a character’s demand in the film. Above all, to normalize this sensitive topic, it was a necessity to incorporate in the film.” He further added that despite the supreme court has decriminalized section 377, same-sex is still a taboo for the majority.

Earlier in a media interaction, Jitendra Kumar was nudged to share his experience on the same and the Kota Factory fame actor hilariously replied that it was not much different from kissing a girl expect Ayushmann’s beard caused itching. The actor further added that the entire crew made sure that the intimate scene went as comfortable as possible.

Starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar in the leads, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is slated to release on the 21st of February.
