A brand new reality show, Rise & Fall, premiered on Amazon MX Player a week ago and is already winning audiences with its unique format. Hosted by Ashneer Grover, the show has managed to stand out in the crowded world of Indian reality television.
The series features 16 contestants divided into two groups: rulers and workers. The rulers’ side includes names like Arbaaz, Pawan Singh, Aahana Kumra, Aditya Narayan, Arjun Bijlani, and Dhanashree Verma, while the workers’ camp features personalities such as Sangeeta Phogat, Kubbra Sait, Kiku Sharda, Aarush Bhola, and Anaya Bangar among others.
In its opening week, Rise & Fall recorded 3.8 million views on Amazon MX Player. Although it could not top the opening week numbers of Bigg Boss OTT 3, which had 5.3 million views under Anil Kapoor’s hosting, the show still managed to outshine Bigg Boss OTT 2, which opened with 2.4 million views when Salman Khan hosted it. However, the benchmark remains Lock Upp, Kangana Ranaut’s show that clocked a massive 15 million views within just 48 hours of launch.
What makes Rise & Fall engaging is the constant power shift between contestants. In the latest twist, Arjun Bijlani climbed from being a worker to securing a spot among the rulers, while Kiku Sharda and Bali were demoted from rulers to workers. The unpredictable gameplay and daily drama are keeping fans hooked.
New episodes of Rise & Fall premiere every day at 12 PM on Amazon MX Player and are also aired on Sony Entertainment Television at 10:30 PM.
