Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan has been the talk of the town after he was arrested by the NCB officials in a drug raid. The 23-year-old was arrested on 3rd October after a raid was conducted at the cruise ship rave party. Along with 8 other high-profile kids, Aryan was detained and further investigation is ongoing. In the meantime, his plea for bail has been rejected by the Mumbai Court by terming it ‘non-maintainable.
On Thursday, the Mumbai Court had given the prosecution time to file replies for the bail applications of Aryan Khan and the other accused in drug handling. However, the bail pleas of Aryan Khan along with Arbaaz Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha were rejected by the panel by mentioning them “misconceived, ill-conceived, and not maintainable”.
As per the sources, Aryan Khan’s rejected bail plea read, “I am a 23-year-old with no prior antecedents. I happen to be from Bollywood. I went on an invitation, refused when asked if I have drugs. They were honest not to accuse me of anything else. Data from my mobile has been retrieved and sent for forensics. I have parents and a family here. I have an Indian passport and I am not going to abscond. There is no question of tampering. I should be granted bail,”
The rejection came after the NCB addressed that no drugs were found on Aryan Khan but a small quantity of contraband substance was discovered. Aryan along with others will be taken to Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai to be kept under judicial custody for another 14 days.
