Actor Arjun Kapoor talks about he has relived his childhood memories through his films. The actor’s new release “Sardar Ka Grandson” streamed digitally yesterday and he said the film is dedicated to his grandmothers.

The actor shared that he feels very fortunate to be able to get films that have brought him back into his beautiful childhood memories and life experiences. He says that the movie Ki & Ka, which was for his mother or now Sardar Ka Grandson which is dedicated to his grandmothers, were both the films that have connected to his soul and will forever be his most favourite films.

He also expressed deep gratitude that in Sardar Ka Grandson he got an opportunity to be directed by a sensitive and extremely mature director such as Kaashvie Nair, who is his first female director, helming her first feature film! He is thankful to Kaashvie from the bottom of his heart, for giving him a film to cherish forever and be proud of.

He also tells how she gave him solid material that connected him so deeply and instantly to the film because of the story’s striking similarity with his grandparents’ lives in varied ways.

Moreover, Kapoor says that the character of Sardar in the film resembles that of his Nani. He reveals that she was actually a riot if one ever interacted with her and he could see her in Sardar, every step of the way. He says that he was literally living through various phases, emotions & memories throughout the film.

The actor hopes that Sardar Ka Grandson will be loved by the audience as he has lived bits of their lives through his performance and hopes that he has made all four of them proud.
