The rumour mill has been buzzing with talk of Shah Rukh Khan teaming up with the makers of Pushpa, Mythri Movie Makers, for a new project—possibly even with director Sukumar at the helm. But fresh reports have now shut down all the speculation.
According to a recent Pinkvilla exclusive, there is no truth to the reports linking SRK with Mythri Movie Makers. A source close to the superstar revealed, “Right now, Shah Rukh Khan is laser-focused on King. That’s his complete priority. He hasn’t had any meetings with Mythri Movie Makers, so the question of approving a script doesn’t even arise.”
The source further added that SRK will continue filming King until the first quarter of 2026. Only after wrapping up this project will he start evaluating his next move. “There are several offers on the table, but he’ll only make a decision towards the end of 2025. And none of the offers currently involve Mythri,” the insider clarified.
So, for fans eagerly waiting to see Shah Rukh collaborate with the Pushpa production house, the wait just got a little longer.
Currently, SRK is busy shooting King, a high-stakes action drama directed by Siddharth Anand. The film promises to showcase Khan in a gritty gangster role, bringing back the flair of Don, but with a more mass appeal.
Adding even more excitement, King also marks the big-screen debut of Suhana Khan. She plays a student training under her father’s character for intense, action-packed missions. The film boasts a powerful ensemble cast including Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Abhay Verma.
Filming is currently underway at Mumbai’s Mehboob Studios, and while the makers have yet to announce an official release date, industry chatter hints at a potential Gandhi Jayanti 2026 launch.
