Popularly known as Bhajan Samraat, Anup Jalota recently became the talk of the town post his former Bigg Boss partner Jasleen Matharu was seen wearing sindoor and chooda went viral over the social media networks. Jasleen and Anup entered the Bigg Boss house together as a couple and later announced that their bond is mere a student-teacher relationship.
However, when pictures of Jasleen Matharu with a married look went viral, netizens started speculating that Anup Jalota has found his fourth wife in Jasleen. Clearing the air and rubbishing such rumours, Anup Jalota opened up on his relationship with Jasleen and said, “Not Again! My marriage to Jasleen is news to me. I and her father are looking for a suitable match for her. I have suggested to them a Punjabi boy living in Canada. Nothing is fixed yet.”
Anup also recalled his public statement that he made after coming out of the controversial Bigg Boss house and said that whenever Jasleen gets married, he will do her kanyadaan. “I will do her kanyadaan. And I will. She is my student and daughter like to me,” Anup said. He also reassured that there is no physical or emotional intimacy between the two and they remained as a student and teacher after their journey in Bigg Boss came to an end.
The Padma Shri awardee was married to singer Sonali Sheth and became popular in the North Indian live performance circuit but divorced. He was later married to Bina Bhatia which didn’t work out for the singer either. Anup’s third marriage was to Medha Gujral and the two remained happily wedded until Medha succumbed to liver failure.
