The year 2019 has not proved fruitful to the Kedarnath actor Sushant Singh Rajput. After missing multiple release dates owing to incomplete VFX, Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer Drive was released on the OTT platform Netflix and received a disastrous response. After Drive, Sushant’s other movie might get uploaded directly to the OTT platform.
As per the recent report, Sushant Singh Rajput’s upcoming tragic drama Dil Bechara was found to be ‘too depressive’ to be released on the theatres. Dil Bechara is the official Hindi remake of the popular American romantic drama The Fault in Our Stars that revolves around two terminally-ill cancer patients who fall in love with each other.
Dil Bechara stars Sushant Singh Rajput and debutant Sanjana Sanghi in the lead characters. Casting director Mukesh Chhabra is also marking his debut and donning the director’s hat. “After Drive, producer Fox may offload Dil Bechara on an OTT platform. It would be a double blow for Sushant Singh Rajput. Several careers are at stake,” said a source close to the development.
Earlier, it was reported that Sushant Singh Rajput has added a special clause in his agreement that the makers have to mention everything in detail if they wish to release the project on OTT platforms.
