The third instalment to Tom Holland’s live-action Spider-Man franchise is currently one of the most anticipated movies that Marvel has to offer. The movie created hype for its speculated storyline which could bring Andrew Garfield, Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland in the same movie with their respective versions and stories of Spider-Man. However, Andrew Garfield, who headed The Amazing Spider-Man franchise, strongly denies the speculations of a multiverse.

For the unversed, Tom Holland is currently filming an upcoming Spider-Man movie and the movie is speculated to introduce a multiverse. According to the popular fan theories, three Spider-Mans from different parallel multiverses will come together to fight against a common enemy or group of enemies. The speculation of a multiverse created a huge hype around the project and MCU fans have been eagerly waiting for the Tom Holland starrer with Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire. However, bursting the bubble, Andrew has finally opened up on the speculations and rubbished the theories.

In a recent interaction, Andrew Garfield said that he finds the idea of a Spider-Man multiverse cool, however, there is no such thing happening in reality. The actor said that he had not been even approached for any such project. “I feel like I’m in a game of Werewolf and I’m just saying, ‘I’m not the werewolf, I am not the werewolf. I promise you guys, I’m not the werewolf! Listen, what people are talking about is a really cool idea. And again, I haven’t received a phone call, but, you know…” he told ET.

While Andrew strongly denies the idea of a multiverse in the making, there were some hints from the MCU gods themselves that sparked the rumours. Marvel Studios has already announced the titles of their upcoming projects which suggests that they will be introducing a multiverse in details in the upcoming movie, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The reports also suggested that Doctor Strange will have a brief cameo in the upcoming Spider-Man movie which speculates a link to the multiverse.
